Bestcomp Group, a 1-Tier partner of Cisco in Azerbaijan, held an autumn event for customers, IT directors and information security specialists, dedicated to the vendor’s solutions and products in areas such as cybersecurity and cloud solutions.

The guests were welcomed by Deputy General Director and Commercial Director of Bestcomp Group Khalil Alakbarov. The speech was then continued by Anar Khanaliev, Head of Complex IT Solutions Sales Unit at Bestcomp Group, who introduced the audience to the history and structure of the company, which is now represented in 7 countries in the region. It was noted that Bestcomp Group offers not only solutions from numerous partner vendors, but also its own developments, which include products for both the private and public sectors. Bestcomp Group employs more than 50 certified engineers, and the number of certificates they have received exceeds 500. Anar Khanaliev paid special attention to the partnership with Cisco. Thanks to this collaboration, the companies have achieved great success in the design and implementation of data center, information security and telecommunications solutions. In particular, they spoke about the successful implementation of the project “Public Financial Management, Modernization Project - 2”, for the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Tajikistan, which provides for the creation of a backup data center (DPC) that meets the requirements of the Uptime Institute TIER III and the installation of the appropriate IT infrastructure. This project serves as a successful example of applying the knowledge and experience accumulated in the ICT field of Azerbaijan to international projects outside the country.

The event continued with a presentation by the presale engineer of Bestcomp Group Elbrus Aliyev, which was dedicated to Cisco SD-Access and SD-WAN solutions. "Software-Defined Access (SDA), using the latest Cisco technology, secures user and device access and could be the future of your company's fabric environment. With powerful automation, this technology potentially provides significant labor savings. SD-WAN, on the other hand, is a cloud-first architecture that separates the data and control planes, managed through the Cisco vManage console." You can quickly create an SD-WAN overlay fabric to connect your data center, branches, campuses, and colocation centers to improve network speed, security, and efficiency,” said Elbrus Aliyev.

The official part of the event ended with a speech by Cisco system architect Shain Mamedov, dedicated to an overview of Cisco solutions in the field of digital security, including the company’s approach to ensuring cyber resilience in the post-Covid era and creating cyber-secure conditions for hybrid work. It was noted that Cisco uses approaches such as Zero Trust and Duo Access Management to ensure cybersecurity. The speaker noted that Duo multi-factor authentication is part of Cisco's leading zero trust model platform, which ensures secure access for any user on any device to any IT application in any environment. The solution provides seamless protection for any combination of cloud and on-premise enterprise applications. It does so without requiring multiple authentication products or leaving critical security gaps.

After the official part of the event, the guests were able to continue communicating in an informal setting.
